Layered landscape and architectural lighting that makes the yard safe, warm and dramatic after dark.
Lighting makes a backyard usable after dark and changes how it feels. Soft uplights on trees, glowing steps, lit stone walls and a luminous pool make the space inviting, and good lighting also helps with safety and security.
We design lighting in layers: ambient glow, task light, accent light and the pool itself. Warm color temperatures keep the mood natural, shielded fixtures reduce glare and a simple control system lets you set scenes for dinner, a party or quiet evenings. We walk the property at night with sample fixtures, because the way light falls on stone, leaves and water is hard to judge on paper. Aiming and brightness are tuned on site, and we return for a final adjustment once plants and furniture are in place.
Several soft sources look better than one bright one. We combine uplights, path lights, step lights and wall washes.
Warm light flatters stone, plants and faces. Shielded fixtures keep glare out of eyes and neighbors out of the glow.
A controller lets you choose a scene, set a timer and adjust brightness from your phone.
Plants grow and fixtures shift. A yearly check keeps aim and brightness right.
