Pool Finishes and Tile

Plaster, quartz, pebble and glass bead finishes with waterline tile that set the color and feel of the water.

The interior finish and the waterline tile decide the color of your water and the feel of the pool under your feet. A white plaster gives pale aqua, a dark quartz gives deep lagoon blue and a glass bead finish sparkles in the sun. Tile adds texture and a crisp line at the surface.

We bring large samples, view them wet and in your light and help you balance color, texture, durability and care. Pebble finishes are tough and textured, quartz is smooth and rich and polished plaster is classic. Tile, from simple ceramic to glass mosaic, can run along the waterline, on steps and in spa walls.

See samples wet

Dry samples mislead. We show them wet, in your light, and next to your coping and deck so the whole palette works together.

Texture and comfort

Pebble is long-lasting and slightly textured, while quartz and plaster are smoother. We discuss how each feels on feet and skin.

Tile as jewelry

Waterline tile, step markers and mosaic accents give the pool character. We use them with restraint so they enhance and do not overwhelm.

Care in the first weeks

A new finish cures in water, and early habits shape how it looks later. We give you a start-up schedule and check in.

Questions

Pool Finishes and Tile FAQ

Which finish lasts longest?

Pebble finishes are known for durability, and quartz is also strong. Water balance and care matter greatly for every finish.

Does a darker finish make water warmer?

Dark interiors absorb a little more heat, and the effect is modest. They also look rich and deep.

What is the first month like?

New finishes need a careful start-up routine and balanced water. We give you a schedule.

Can I change finish later?

Yes, at the time of resurfacing. We help plan the timing.

Can I mix finishes?

Some designs use tile accents and a different spa finish. We keep the palette controlled.
